The most popular Chicago foodie community is, I think, LTH Forum. Chowhound is another big one.
Other groups: Facebook’s Chicago Food Critique, Facebook’s Chicago Foodies, Facebook’s Chicago Locavores (also has own website: chicagolocavores.com) and chicagofoodies.com.

There are a ton of blogs in this area–I have roughly 30 food blogs in my Google Reader. I suspect the most useful among them will be The Food Section, Chicagoist, Dish, Drive Thru, Serious Eats, MenuPages, Sky Full of Bacon and The Stew.

1. The Green City Market–here’s the market’s page on Facebook. I focused on this last quarter and loved it–two of the producers let me visit their farms. As the season goes on and other markets open, this topic should grow.
